Santa belts
in general have center bar buckles which with a regular belt is not especially hard to buckle, but given the width of a Santa Belt and being constructed from good heavy leather it get a bit harder. The belt tends to lift off the pin when you curve the belt to insert it behind the second half of the buckle. If you insert the belt through the first half of the buckle and insert the pin into the hole you would like to hook at then pull the belt down until the pin is firmly against the buckle and hold it there (either by pinching the buckle and belt together at that point ,or pushing the belt towards the buckle ) you can the feed the belt through the other half usually with little trouble (this gets easier after the belt is used a few times.
